Again, I have the correct expressions. They work and get what I am looking for, with a pretty high degree of accuracy. But I have to keep modifying each filter with the next incremental episode. Example: This week: Bones&(1[x e]0[4-9]|10[4-9])&(^svcd)&(^.hr.) Then before next week, so th...

Variables in filters?

Is there any way to program "variables" into watch filters? A potential use would be to capture all episode posts in a series, but only one version. After downloading episode 3, the variable gets incremented, and the filter only watches for episode 4 and higher then. I know using wildmats ...

Unless I managed to modify the default settings, the default on setup for UE was to "Ask for delete", as well as "Delete headers" and "Delete bodies" (this was checked but greyed out; presumably if you delete header, you want to delete bodies as well). This has worked f...

Task on Server Status

In NP there was a window that allowed you to see the status of all requests to the server (server responses such as "No such article" or "No such newsgroup", etc.). This screen would also show server status, e.g. "Could not connect", "Download limit exceeded",...

News provider is not the problem - Easynews. Even ISP news works ok (just poor retention). But I use freenet.de news servers and cannot get them to d/l from compact binary newsgroups.

Download articles by msg-id direct

Can articles be downloaded by msg-id direct if the newsgroup has been specified as a compact binary. I have several servers that I can download by msg-id direct but will not allow downloads as a server under the compact binary.
