I just saved two files (CD1 and CD 2 of an oratorio, both 7z files) to the same directory and didn't realize that they had the same name. CD1 was overwritten by CD2. Shouldn't UE have renamed the second one to xxx(2)? Is there anything I can do to get CD1 back?

The PAR was on the whole file, and as you say, UE joined but did not delete the parts. So in that case, UE joins the files, then tests with the PAR file? It would be nice if it would leave an error message somewhere so we'd know - maybe a text message in the folder with the joined file?

Hello. NewsPro kept a log of where it saved attachments. Is there an equivalent to this in UE? I can't find it anywhere.

I can't figure out how to search this forum. CAn anybody help?

My new monitor has the same aspect ratio as my old, and I'm having the same problem with the bars being cut off. I tried lowering the DPI setting to 96, and the problem is still there. The "docking the bars" workaround doesn't work either.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

How on earth did you do that? I'd love to know. I'm trying it now and it seems to work fine. I'll let you know if I run into any problems.
