Re: Feature Request: Keyboard shortcuts in Task Manager
then I go to the Task Manager and locate the PAR files. I manually "Pause" these (to save bandwidth). If they are needed I Unpause, otherwise, I press ESC to delete them. UE does not download PAR files unless they're needed, and also automatically removes them from the list when dl comple...

Re: Request: Save Queue Behavior Change
Thank you!
I was just about to ask if this was going to be implemented at some point, as I have one external storage which sometimes has short connection problems. (and yes, just some form of automatic retry would be sufficient for me)

Re: Foldernames are truncated with Auto function
Slight correction to my "findings": Actually, does not seem to redraw the whole dialog, but it seems there's a relatively long delay before the created folder is copied into the input box (no idea why, as it is seen in the folder list immediately).

Re: Foldernames are truncated with Auto function
I'm using winxp for work since it compiles two times faster (even without any animations involved), interesting how much impact on world electricity consumption introducing win7 had. Interestingly, my compile times are about the same. (and overall Win7 is much snappier than the XP setup on this mac...

Re: right click -> Delete All Headers by this Author feature
If you click the header, you can sort the blacklist by name too. (in case you didn't notice that already)mrqaffe wrote:trying to find the name in the list from inside UE is almost impossible because its in time order rather than alphabetical order.

Re: Foldernames are truncated with Auto function
Another issue, with Win7, is that when you choose download and save attachments > suggest new folder. When you press suggest a foldername is suggested. After that you have to press Enter twice. But, if you press the second Enter too fast the files arent stored in the suggested folder but in the roo...

Re: Feature request : multithreaded header decode and filter
Simon, heavy kill filters really hog down CPU (at least mine, I have only an AMD x2). I know, I have multiple nested filters (tend to grow in complexity quite fast). I solved "the problem" myself by using the filters manually - seems to work nicely that way and the way human perception wor...

Re: Something seriously wrong with ngroups
Indeed, that explained it nicely. I didn't come to think of that "side-effect" from using article numbers. Makes perfect sense, though. ;) Btw, nGroups confirmed there indeed was a problem with one of the US servers and have fixed it. And their EU servers are still a bit flaky. I now chang...

Re: Something seriously wrong with ngroups
What newsgroup type are you using compact binary or article numbers? (edit menu->properties->newsgroups, when you select newsgroup the type is shown to the right of the selected newsgroup name in the "current newsgroup" area below the list control) comp.soft-sys.math.mathematica is articl...

Re: Something seriously wrong with ngroups
For the moment EU servers seem to work again, and I'm currently re-downloading headers from the past week, so I'm not going to do any additional testing at the moment (maybe later if EU server hickup again). Suffice to say, any amount of resetting headers did not help on US servers. (I even deleted ...

Something seriously wrong with ngroups
Can someone verify? Also, HOW can the following happen: 1. clean install (deleted bodies/newsgroups folders, using only old reg.dat) 2. filters disabled 3. reseted all headers 4. "get new headers" -> newest post ~118d old 5. "rescan headers" -> gets some new headers ~20h old 6. &...

Re: Rename server broken
Thanks. I'll try to do some testing next week (not terribly important at the moment anyway, as there was a workaround for me).
Let's see if I can narrow it down where it breaks.

Re: Rename server broken
The code didn't change. What are other servers in the server list (you may pm me). 127.0.0.1 (for posting through proxy - only tested once, disabled for other tasks) Probably something related to changing position in the list, if I have the same position change maybe I'll reproduce it if it is real...

Rename server broken
Hi, Just noticed, that "rename server" is broken. It just hangs when you try to change the server name with constant high CPU usage, forcing me to kill it manually via taskmgr. Just trying to change existing eu.Ngroups.NET:563 to us.Ngroups.NET:563, since their EU servers are still shit af...

Re: The new cleanup feature of 2.9 version rocks
Edit: Forget about this - it seems to be working now. Can't figure out what was wrong before, though, and why it now works and didn't before. I agree, this should rock. ;) However, I can't get it to work properly. It supposed to support boolean wildmats? I have the following trivial pattern in "...
