Join to Subdir

Alex,

I like the way that auto unrar will unrar to a folder that is derived from the subject name. Unfortunately, join does not seem to have this capability. I would like to see all unpacking factions go to a folder whose name is derived from the subject. Is this possible?

That seems to only download the nzb file. I was hoping for something that also started downloading all of the articles at the same time.

ImportingNZB From Article List?

I am viewing articles in a newsgroup. Is there any way to select an article that contains a nzb file, right click, and download all of the individual articles pointed to by the nzb file? The only way I know to do it now is to download the nzb file and then go to the import menu selection and downloa...

I have been running since this morning and it looks good. The only problem I had is that I tried to go to a non SSL server and it wouldn't connect, even with the SSL checkbox off and going to port 119. You might want to double check me

I use a program called dumeter to monitor the speed of my internet connection. It runs in the system tray and reports all ethernet activity. With 1.7.3 and secure-tunnel the speeds reported in dumeter and UE were essentially the same. Now that I have switched over to SSL, UE reports ~800 kB/s and du...

Small Vista Bug

Running Vista Ultimate. In the left pane select multiple newgroups. All but one of your selected newsgroups are hilighted. I have only seen this in Vista, in XP it selected all of them.

That's it. Setting max tasks to zero seems to be a bug. I remember now that I have seen this before. As far as speed goes I see no difference between UE 1.7.3 with stunnel and 1.7.4.2. In fact, I see a speed increase from 1.7.3 through secure-tunnel and SSH from about 500 to 800 kB/s so I am a happy...

No error, it just stays with progress "Pending".
Yes, it is 1.7.4.2, according to the about box

I must be doing something wrong. I previously had UE 1.7.3 running with stunnel and working fine. I stopped the stunnel service and set it to manual start. I turned of the standard windows firewall. I disabled all of my existing servers. I created a new server to secure.usenetserver.com port 563 and...

Are you still considering adding SLL encryption to UE? I hope you add it, as I would like to move up to SSL from SSH through secure-tunnel.

Thanks

I am a professional software developer. 64 bit operating systems are more sensitive then the 32 bit versions, both XP and Vista. It is typically an issue with drivers. While I have a dual core at work and home I only run the 32 bit versions, and they run just fine. Maybe in a year or so the 64 bit v...

automatic rar/par2 decoders

In your announcement for v1.3 you refer to automatic rar/par2 decoders. I have used one (I forget the name) with little success. Does anyone have any suggestions for ones that work well?

Thanks
