Last part of multipart binary "gets stuck" on giganews
More often then not, the last part of a multipart binary won't download for a while, leaving the completion at 99% until it finally downloads..sometimes minutes later. I'm using giganews if that matters. Thanks.

Comcast Powerboost
Is it possible to program logic to take advantage of Comcast Powerboost by timing the download requests to maximize the boost? I noticed when I first start a download the speed is 3 times as fast as normal then trails off after the powerboost limit is reached. Basically, if there was a way to "...

Saving files to a directory (minor problem)
I've noticed NewsPro creates the directory from the last time a save command was issued if that directory has been deleted. I'm sure it's by design, but since I usually download files to a particular sub-directory and then delete the sub-directory when finished, it's an extra step to manually delete...

minor quirk with visual autosave progress
Ive noticed that pressing the escape key to exit viewing a post will close the visual autosave process if its in the middle of a save. These queued files have to be manually saved.

It isn't just a matter of whether the server is attached to a newsgroup. Say I have 10 servers in total and I download headers for a newgroup. When I press F2 on a header it will tell me which servers that article exists, say 5 of the 10. However, when I download that article it will use message-id ...

message-id direct & downloaded header
I primarilly use message-id direct, but I have a few newsgroups where I download the headers. When I download articles from these newsgroups, Newspro tries to use the message-id on all servers even thought it should know exacly which servers the articles are found. For example: After updating header...

Enhance Pause Button
I would like to see a right-click option added to the pause button that allows you to select how long to pause. Options could be Infinite (Default), and a few timed settings. Too often, I pause while Im doing other tasks and then forget to come back and un-pause.

allthenewsgroups.com & Message-ID Direct
A service provider called allthenewsgroups.com told me they need a "group" command issued before a Message-ID direct command in order to retrieve an article. Does this make sense? I'm unable to retrieve articles from their servers using the Message-ID method. Instead I get a "403 Arti...

Suggestion to enhance the "disable server" feature
A great enhancement would allow an additional server option to enable it only for header download, but not for article posts. As it is now, it's all or nothing with the disable/enable feature. I use one server for headers and article fills. Due to download limits, I normally keep it disabled and wil...

Allow manual setting of bandwith counter for a server
It would be helpful if we could manually update the bandwith counter for a server. This would allow Newspro bandwith to be adjusted to actual amounts in order to agree to the service providers records (ie. easynews). It could be as easy as right-click on server to select "Update Bandwith" ...
