It could be that UseNetServer still has the same problem that users reported a long time ago where they don't keep an index of MessageIDs, so when you do an XPAT you get all of these results but then when you try to retrieve the MessageID for the articles you want the server can't find them at all. ...

Try launching Outlook Express and accessing the server with the same login info. I don't think NewsPro could cause such an error in of itself, so it could be the login info that is on the server is wrong.

I think it refers to ascending and descending. When it points down and is sorted by subject, for example, your headers are descending, with special characters at the top and Z at the bottom (would that be correct?).
