Today I reinstalled EVERYTHING including my OS due to crashes that were occurring with UE. I have not gotten any UE crashes with the new setup. I have not reinstalled an antivirus or firewall package yet. I also have NOT reinstalled SP3 for XP. I would like to know what other UE users would recommen...

The crashing behavior appears to be fairly reproducible during heavy binary downloading. I'm using UE 2.2. I've had about 3 apparent crashes over the last 2-3 weeks while UE was downloading binaries. On a couple of occasions I got a dialog error with a numerical error code. I reset the router yesterday.

Yes, I do manage to saturate my connection, regardless of the number of connections per server.

The lesson to me is to unsubscribe from one or more of my servers.

I have varied the number of "tasks" of my three servers. I am assuming that tasks=connections (at least when you are only downloading bodies). When I increase the tasks for the two OTHER newsgroup servers (usually above 5-10 each), the server in question (although it allows 20 connections)...

I decreased the number of tasks for the other two usenet servers to zero each.

When I did that, the usenet server in question then began downloading articles at high speed.

This suggests to me that I have some settings wrong in UE.

How do I get UE to always display auto collections?

Another way of asking this is how do I always get the yellow auto collections to be depressed or selected?
