disk/ram usage fluctuates during header download, maybe fluctuations will be a bit more if connection is very fast, although it cannot be several GBs, the mapped area to the disk cannot exceed 1.6GB in principle in 32 bit systems but it doesn't go there at all in the first place with compact binary...

Hi, I ran 1.7.2 and had the following happen to me: HD partition had about 3 GB free. I downloaded all headers for alt.binaries.hdtv with about 500 kbyte/sec. Database 29.3 MB allocated / 43.5 MB reserved. Disk 684KB free. Memory usage was about 80 MB of 320 total. In explorer the disk still had 3 G...
