I dont know about XP but windows 2K still offers the fine 'dos' command 'start' wich allows a user to start a program with a different priority. I use it to set my videoplayer priority to max while still downloading with NewsPro (to prevent hickups). Maybe u can use it to start newspro? > start /? S...

I would like to search all messages in the database and exclude particular newsgroups in this search. But i understand this is not possible yet due to technical reasons...

I would really like to be able to filter on the newsgroup a message is placed in.
This would allow me to find all headers/messages in all subscribed groups but alt.binaries.ftn (for example)
