Well done Alex. You'da'man as usual!
Are you using one of the Microsoft Visual Studio compilers by any chance?
Everything I have tested that is written in Visual Studio suffers from the problem, Delphi 2010 doesn't suffer from the problem.
Not tested VS2010 so can't be sure of that.

Re: Windows 7 save dialog problem
As I say, it does sometimes correctly navigate, but more often than not it only works if there is only one folder at the same level. I have seen situations where it will navigate with multiple folders at the same level, but it's very rare. Not sure how you are constructing the save dialog, but in my...

UnRar folder creation incorrect for Unicode paths
If the save path of a RAR attachment contains a Unicode character, when it is extracted, it extracts into a different folder. For example if I told it to save RARfile.RAR into "C:\My a(acute) fo(acute)lder" it will actually extract into "C:\My a folder\RARfile" or something simil...

Windows 7 save dialog problem
Windows 7 Save Dialog does not bring the open (current) folder into view. Vista and below auto-scrolls down the directory tree so that the last save folder is visible on the screen to allow quick navigation to it's parent. On Windows 7 UE does not do this most of the time. On very odd occasions it w...

Vista Ultimate x64 McAfee 8.7 Bandwidth simply does nothing if set in the 64-bit version. Works fine in 32-bit. I have seen Shutdown, aborting tasks issue on WinXP-32 and Vista-U64 on UE versions going way back. I'll try disabling AV and test again, but I'm unsure how it would affect exiting or band...

Bandwidth throttle not working, Exit issues if paused
I am trying to use the bandwudth throttle in the Tasks options page but it doesn't seem to work now I have switched to the 64-bit version of the program. Nothing happens whatever I set the values to. If tasks are pending and you manually "Pause" then exit UE, it does the following... "...

Saving
I have a couple of points on saving... 1. Why not check disk space before performing the save to ensure sufficient disk space, thus avoiding completely running out - I realise it isn't that straightforward because of the yEnc/UUE encoding. 2. Why not block saving only to locations that have run out ...

Usenet Explorer... how well does it handle after a crash?
Not having tried this yet, I thought I would ask the question. NewsPro didn't really like recovering from crashes, losing all the headers and most article status changes since the last backup. How well does UE cope... is it written with transaction logging or anything clever on the database? C...
