I've been trying to use the search service for several hours now and I get the message box "Search Failed A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or"

Thanks Alex - your suggestion to check "properties->general->open import group" was right on. Somehow this option was checked resulting in the behavior. Once again I'm a perfectly satisfied user.... Thanks!

When I said "refused to start saving" I meant that I could not depress the "Suspend save queue" button on the tool bar. I did not attempt to restart saving by going to tasks>Suspend save queue. Perhaps that would have worked where the button did not? I did have a warning dialog b...

I couldn't find the cursor. I deleted api.xml and restarted UE. Magic! My docking task manager is working again! If your interested, I do have the log.txt file documenting the crash that I had mentioned in my prior post. That occured with v1.00. Thanks Alex for your timely attention to my problem.
