It works perfectly now that I understand. The rest of the collection remains unread and the collection as a whole is still "new" but "read" which is what i had hoped for.
thanks alex.

Collections: Reading .nfo marks entire collection as Old
Hi Alex, This is a slight inconvenience but maybe there's a way around it. Normally, I have the NEW filter turned on every time I download new headers. The problem I have with this is that when I view the NFO file inside a collection, the entire collection disappears because I guess UE marks the NFO...

Feature request: next button to move to next msg/thread
Hey alex, I was just reading a thread today and maybe you have this feature and I can't find it but it would be nice to have a next button. Either next article IN the thread, or next article. This would be helpful when reading a thread with 100 replies. All I will have to do is hit next, next, next,...

I'm newly converted. Been using Auto unpack instead of DLDone. Thanks for bringing this up!

Download and paused
Alex, I can't seem to find it but is it possible to Download with paused priority? Basically, I use this feature once in a while if I'm waiting for a thread to finish but I want to remember and I dont use flags much since I have to unflag it. Also, like today, I was having problems with Newshosting ...

Rearranging columns: Saving column preferences
Alex, Thanks for the new features implemented as of late, it's great. However, I have one gripe with upgrading to a newer UE. It seems that everytime I do an upgrade, the Columns get reset back to the default. Basically, everytime I open my folders, I prefer to see Flag, Subject, Age, Size, Author, ...

Feature request: Mark newsgroup subscribed or unsubscribed
Alex, is there a way to implement a feature to mark newsgroup as subscribed or unsubscribed in the Newsgroup list. I don't really remember which ones I have subscribed and I have to always expand all the folders out just to see what I might be missing. I think the old school Xnews has something simi...
