- Topic: can i delete all .npr when i am doing nothing with newspro?

I have done so without any problem, allthough I think it more proper to do a global search for messages with bodies and then delete bodies for all of those. I ususally just sort my data directory by date, and delete .npr files that are earlier than anything I am currently downloading. The .npr files...

My Xpat's work perfectly and take minutes.. not hours. Outlook Express does not have this function so that is comparing apples to oranges. You need to put in here.. what you are doing. 1. What is in the wildmats field.. (copy and paste it in the forum). 2. What is in the newsgroups field (copy and p...

This seems to be a common issue with Windows XP and all newsreaders when processing that many headers. The issue seems to be Windows XP method of swapping out to disk even though there is RAM remaining. The answers seem to be .. getting more ram and processing fewer headers, or perhaps switching to ...

When you issue an xpat command to a newsserver, the search is done ON the newsserver and no data is being tranmitted until it finishes the search. This is why the bandwidth often dips to 0. To f...

I only use free servers.. I use biggulp.readfreenews.net and have accounts on news.astraweb.com, news.bubbanews.com, free.teranews.com and usenet.newscene.com. I also use some text servers that have binaries you can only access with message id direct.. news.freenet.de etc. I use the NewsPro function...

I use the XPAT functionality quite a bit, but not sure if I can effectively explain it to you. To initiate the search I 1. create a new group beginning with a #, to indicate that it is a search, such as #zeppelin. 2. upon trying to get new headers for the #zeppelin group, the search criteria dialog ...

I see the mp3 posted there on sep. 9 03:30 and sep. 9 07:30. The 03:30 post looks like line length of 5060 or so for the parts, they look like they got posted more than once, and because of circumstances will get out of order. The 07:30 post looks like line length of 3040 or so, posted more than onc...

I am not sure that we know enough about the problem you are having. Have you looked here http://www.netwu.com/newspro/posting.htm? Are you posting 1 binary file or multiple binary files?
