Moving groups between folders

If I move a newsgroup from one folder to another folder, will it maintain any custom collections I have set?
Also ...well, this one is a little harder question to ask. Suppose in Folder-A with newsgroup-1 in it, and Folder-B with newsgroup-2 in it. Newsgroup-1 has a custom collection called "Fred". If I move newsgroup-2 into Folder-A, and as it happens, the articles in "Fred" were cross posted into both newsgroup-1 and newsgroup-2. What happens to the custom collection? Will it now show that its articles are in both newsgroup-1 and newsgroup-2?
These are some really huge newsgroups and with my slow internet connection I'm hesitant to do anything that would require re-getting the headers.
