restoring / resetting the database

Hi,

sometimes it happens, that my PC crasches to a bluescreen, so all Programs includung NewsPro get terminated.

When the PC is started again, Newspor asks me if I want to restore or to reset the database. Normally a restore does the job fine.

What I really woul apreciate, would be an option (for instance with a kind of timeout of let me say 30 Seconds), that NewsPro will restore the database without users interaction.

Thanks, Oli

actually one of goals now is to decrease the number of options without affecting functionality.

the issue will be addressed in a different way making the whole process automatic, i'm working on it.

I solved the "issue" (which is NO issue by NewsPro, more by other programs, which sometimes force my PC to a restart by a bluescreen) for me.

I wrote a little tool (I called it NewsProKeySender), which waits for a window with the title "Restoring Database" and presses Enter automatically (which means "Restore database"). The tool hides itselve directly after it has been launched (so, there is no icon in the taskbar or system tray). If you want to terminate it, this can be done only via the task manager.

If someone has a similar issue, you can try my tool (with no kind of guarantee). The file is at http://home.arcor.de/olimuc/NewsProKeySender.exe

As it is a Visual Basic Program, you may need to install some runtimes ( http://home.arcor.de/olimuc/vbruntimes.zip ), if you don't have them already.

Any suggestions -> let me know.

Oli
