By the way... in case anyone is new and looking into UE, let me tell you:
I am running a 5+ year old P4-1.8 w/768kram and ATA100 disks, and virtual memory turned off.
I am able to concurrently:
1) D/L at 800kB/s (comcast throttled).
2) Run a single thread of batch UNPAR->UNRAR.
3) Browse in UE a multi-group folder of 80mil messages.
4) Run Firefox
The worst I see is a slight lag switching windows and during big i/o bursts. No long hangs, crashes, or monstrous thrashing.
