Question about Filtering File Attachments

Post by Cynyster »

Hi again gang.. please bear with me as my brain has shrunk due to to much turkey.

I am trying to make a kill filter to block unwanted attachments from certain groups.

One of my favorite groups is the Alt.Binaries.Pictures.Wallpaper

I have it set to auto download from this group (I set that up under the Watch/Auto headers tab)

Now I would like to filter out all the other crap attachments like txt , sfv, htm html and the like.

so to do this.. do I simply go to the filter editor and in the predicate choose subject - contains and the add in something like

*.txt|*.html|*.htm|*.csv|*.sfv

with the boolean wildmat checkbox checked?

(would really like to be able to filter by attachment but that is not an option)

and then go to the kill filters property page and add that filter to the group?

 Sorry for the trouble.. feeling like an idiot today :(

yes, something like that if you don't want to see the headers alltogether.

or you can use ^(*.txt|...) if you only want to exclude them from auto watch&download
