Change Date Format in Newsgroup View?

Hi. I'm wondering if there's an option to change the format for the
Date column in the open newsgroup pane? I'm running UE 1997.

I'd like to change it to Month, Day, Time, DayOfWeek instead of
DayOfWeek being first in the column.

maybe you just want to use age instead of dates?

edit menu->show dates/age

the date column is aligned to the right so the left is like less important, so if you reduce the column width the day of the week will be hidden first incidentally, maybe also it is the standard of the usenet date format, i don't remember, most likely why i showed it this way.

I guess it also region dependend.

In holland we are used to the "day of week - day - month - year - time" notation since that's our regional way to it.

And yes, that's (one) of the reason's I switched to the age notation.

alex that's what I ended up doing.. moving it over so the day of the
week was hidden and propagating to all windows.
