avoid redownloading

Post by MilesAhead »

hmmmmm I must have changed a setting because I don't check to delete bodies after download in case I mess up the files later, I can just save the bodies again instead of redownloading(then once I'm sure I'm done with those files I do Edit Bodies and delete all bodies.)

The last 2 times I tried it, I got .rar files of about 25KB each instead of them being several MB in size. I can't think where I made the mistake though.
First time I just tried Save Bodies. The second time I tried Download and Save. Both attempts gave exactly the same results.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

probably you unchecked edit menu->properties->save/unpack, "delete bodies" ("delete headers" must be unchecked as well then).

the file may be corrupted on the server (e.g. error during posting or less likely something went corrupted on the server itself). less probable it is something on your computer like firewall corrupting incoming data stream but then most likely you should get different results on repeated downloads from the same server.
