[nzb] folder

Post by dracula »

When I double click on a NZB and opened in UE, UE creates a folder called [NZB]. I don't like this and i just want to save the files without it makes a folder. So what i do now is to import a nzb then it's just open the nzb without making a new folder. Is it possible to change this in UE , so when i double click on a nzb it just save the files to example: D:\Download/Download instead to D:\Download/Download/[nzb]

Further is it possible that UE deleted also: .sfv, .nfo, nzb files? Becourse when I'm ready whit downloading than my download folder is full of these things.

Great program, but these thing i miss.

I hope you understand me my English is not so good. Thank you for your answer.

as to nzb folder, uncheck edit menu->properties->general->import/save->auto - folder out of nzb name.

as to deleting there is no such option currently, if to add it - my first impression is it would only be capable of deleting matching files which are included into the par2 set, since otherwise there is no time point to determine when they should be deleted thus potentially resulting in unsufficient data for repair. i think in most cases they are not included (it is when you expand par2 set in the unpack pane you should see those files or not, if not it is not clear when to delete them).

Thank you. Missed this one. There are so much options in UE. You think of everything.
About the other thing. If it is not possible i can life whit it. Maybe you find something in the future to make it work. I didn't think about it that it could have negative impact of the program.

One more question. The unpack pane is clear but still i find the .sfv files. Is this not a part of quickpar? If yes then it must be automatically be cleared? :D

Edit: O before i forget. Sometimes when i download and UE is extracting UE still downloading all the par2 files and save them first on the tab download. After the extracting is ready, UE save't all the par2 to my harddisk. I think about it becourse it just happens again. I put a screenshot so you can see what i mean.

i think by default the pane doesn't show "other" files (those which are not rar, exe, par2 or split files) it is set in properties->save/unpack->unpack->show area, try to check the settings.

it is to prevent the unpack pane from being filled with too many files e.g. numerous jpg files.

but if those "other" files (including .sfv) are listed in the par2 set UE clears them from the pane ("Clear Other files after repair" check box among unpack options), but it doesn't mean deleting them from the disk since it could delete too much.

so for a measured delete a filter for "other" files like the one in the "show" area would be needed, but the option wouldn't work if the files are not listed in a par2 set, so the user impression would be the option isn't working always.

with this particular subject from your screenshot i see the file name is not in quotes and there is something appended which may prevent from extracting the file name from the subject, but i think UE detects this situation and holds the clearing process until something is left in the queue to be saved into the given save directory.

there is extensive code to deal with malformed subjects, i'm not sure if something is missing there. still if after it has cleared par2 set so it is completely gone and you invoke download&save on par2 files only naturally you'll get them saved again and if the source files have been cleared they will be like missing, UE won't scan disk for them by default.

some time later i'll make a test post with similar subject to doublecheck it (so not to download all those GBs) and reply whether it works as expected.
