Is the license stored per instance?

I run UE with two different databases, in different location. I have only one instance of the executable file UE.EXE.
I received the messaga about expiration last week, so I upgraded. I got a new license code that I applied.
I still get the expiration expiration message on when I run with the other database.

Is the updated key stored with the database instead of the application?
I use 2.7.2

Yes it's stored in the database. You can change the license key in Menu->Help->About Usenet Explorer
