Usenet Explorer and ipv6 news server issue

Post by shak »

Hi there !

It seems there is an issue when using ipv6 news server xsnews . Every now and then usenet explorer stops downloading , and it's trying to connect to the server .

When i close the client and reopen it , it starts downloading normally . But i don't understand why this happens ? It may happen after half an hour of downloading , or 1 hour and i close it and reopen it to resume the download .

Is there a fix to this?

As to usenet explorer the code involved is the same, there is nothing to go wrong with it. If you like you can use third party ipv4 to ipv6 tunnel, should be no change.

So you need to check firewall, router if they handle ipv6 right, also may be a problem on the server side.

I'm using gogonet to get ipv6 connection . With usenet explorer , it stops while downloading and i have to close the client and reopen it to continue .

I've tried other clients like newsbin pro and it doesn't have that issue , so i don't believe is a problem with my firewall
