Which UE software files should be saved when moving to a new OS? Which file contains the subscibed-to Newsgroups list? Which files remember where I left off (in each Newsgroup) at Giganews?
I went through this before when an OS crashed and I had to start from scratch. What a nightmare.

You only need to save the usenet explorer database folder, you can see the location edit menu->properties->general, Database, Database folder.
If you don't need to save headers and willl download them for scratch it is enough to save the Settings subdirectory of the database folder.
