Re: Filter queued downloads
There is currently only the option edit menu->queued, it shows all queued downloads.
Re: Filter queued downloads
That's all I need but it doesn't seem to work.
If I filter a word that's not in the result list is a blank list. That's good.
When I enter a word that's in the download queue the result is shorter list which also contains a lot of downloads not containing the word put in the filter.
I hope I overlook something essential because I requite just a very basic filter.

Re: Filter queued downloads
Maybe you should give an example.
Also check settings edit menu->properties->search import, also there is the "show only files matching filter in collections" toolbar button.

Re: Filter queued downloads
You'll probably need to turn off "show collections" and "show sets" under the Threads menu. Otherwise, if your filter matches any part of a collection or set, it will match the whole thing.Terry wrote:That's all I need but it doesn't seem to work.

Re: Filter queued downloads
Try to give some generic example, when it doesn't work as you expected, just some arbitrary filter, then we'll try to change it so it will work, then the same change may resolve the issue with your specific filters as well.
Suspend download queue, e.g. set total tasks to zero in edit menu->properties->tasks.
Mark something for download, invoke edit menu->queued to see all queued articles, then try to apply filters.

Re: Filter queued downloads
I'm not sure I'm allowed to use real file names so I use an hypothetical example. (I can give real file names on request)
Most of the time I use NZB files to add something to my queue.
MovieABC
BookCollection
Game1
Game2
MovieXYX
Utils1
Utils2
Game3
Utils3
Linux 7.00.667
Utils4
Etc. etc
That's a typical queue for me. Usually very large and run for days.
Usually that's all I do. Queue and wait.
But sometimes I want to download a certain file set with priority. I do that by giving the file set an higher priority. But to do that I first need to locate the file set in my queue.
What I want is this:
Type Movie in a search/filter box and I see only MovieABC and MovieXYZ
If I type Game3 I only see the fileset Games3
I can't get that working. Perhaps simply because I type my search in the wrong box
I hope that's clear so far.
----------------------------------
I
Increasingly often downloads have random file names.
For example MovieXYZ is named jhkdhuierjeri9euijfkd
UE downloads jhkdhuierjeri9euijfkd because that's the correct filename.
But from the NZB UsenetExplorer knows the real name is MovieXYZ because that's the directory the movie will be saved to.
So perhaps an additional problem is that the filter only looks in the subject and not the Save folder?

Re: Filter queued downloads
Do you use the quick filter bar like that? It is toggled by invoking view menu->quick filter bar.
Type in the subject field the press "Apply"
To show exact matches within collection or set you can use the toolbar button I encircled red, also there is option in edit menu->properties->general, collections to make it checked by default when opening newsgroup view.
Then e.g. you can press Ctrl+I to invoke download immediately on selected entries, the save directory will not change.

Re: Filter queued downloads
Why "new" is checked?
Edit menu->properties->general, ensure the option I encircled red is unchecked.
