SSL V1 ?

Hi - Connections to Giganews suddenly failed and after a bit of back and forth, they said they're no longer allowing SSLV2 connections, suggesting: "Please switch to standard SSL encryption" -- I assume this means SSLV1, but that's not a choice in Properties|General.

I asked if SSLV3, SSLV3+, or TSLV1 might be supported. So far no reply.

Anything else I can do within UE?

Try different secure connection options in edit menu->properties->general, servers SSL.

By default it is SSLv3+, you can try SSLv3 and TLSv1

Thanks Alex. Yes, they did reply that SSLV3 or TSLV1 will work.

They could have just said that in the beginning.

Apparently there's some attack that V2 is susceptible to (?) so they turned it off. They might have thought about sending an email to their users with a little warning and include the other options.

Oh well.
