UE on Unbuntu ?

Hey Alex - how about a version of UE to run under Linux ?

This is a lot of code with the interface and synchronization based on Windows API, it would take couple of years at least to adopt it, not so feasible. Try to run it in Wine, if there are problems I could try to handle them.

It was harder to get proper instructions on installing WINE than to get UE to work. Once I had WINE figured out, UE came right up!

I think this had been asked and answered before, but since it may have changed - how can I export my newsgroups from the Windows version and import them into the Linux version? Its on a different PC, can't just re-use the old database.

Also - how do I get my registration number into this version? I click on "Help", then "About Usenet Explorer", then the "Register Usenet Explorer", but this takes me to the Web page to buy a copy. I have my number, I just need to enter it.
