Long delay before the Save Dialog box shows

Hi Alex,

There is one request I have and to which I couldn't find an answer:

If there are currently unavailable drive letters assigned to drives on another computer on the LAN, there is a very appreciable delay (for 2 drive letters >25 secs) before the "Download&Save Attachments (select folder)" shows when I push Alt+K. When these drives are available, the delay is very short indeed.

I know that the Word97 version had the same problem, but more recent versions of applications like Excel, Word, and Access do not.

Is there a way to avoid those longish waiting times?

I use NewsPro for about 7 or 8 months now with great pleasure, and I have forgotten about all the others I tried before!

the delay happens only when the current saving directory is on a non-accessible mapped network drive.

i'll look at it towards the next version, it is possible to check the current device status instead of making the actual device query.
