Weird behaviour - queue messages - immediate deletion

Post by jd »

NewsPro works perfectly for me, every day without any crashes. But there is one strange problem that pops up _very_ rarely. Today it happened.

1. I queue something to download as always. Mark the messages - download & save attachments.
2. The process starts but all the headers are immediatly deleted. Everything I have queued is deleted "in advance". Hitting the button "show deleted headers" brings back the messages but this sure is some strange thing.

Any idead why something like this would happen?

are you sure the headers are making into the queue?

these are different handlers, it deletes headers only if it managed to save an attachment from them, after it has saved an attachment it checks whether 'delete after save' is actual for the headers in question and only if yes it deletes the headers, everything else in unaffected.

I'm positive. The messages are being downloaded, I can see the files appear on the harddisk, I see the tasks running. Next time it happens I will take a note of that release. Maybe it's something about how it's being posted.

probably you download headers in the same time and the headers have expired on the server or the retention has kicked in?
