In v 1.23, after I resetted the shortcuts, i noticed that ALT-I is no longer used as Download immediately. Is that as it is ment to be?
I mean, for years I use ALT-I for download immediately (bu not save).
Now it is just reversed. The logic for me was CTRL+.. for download and save and ALT+.. for Download only.
Now Alt-I is Download and save a CTRL-D also.
Is this really ment this way?
Shortkeys changed
the problem was with auto download option, shorcuts became somewhat messy after i moved alt+d from "download" since we have already space as the shortcut key, so i interchanged few shorcuts.
now if you see shorcuts there is more regularity so they are more easy to remember, but you can change shorcuts if you don't like them now through the customize keyboard dialog.

I tried to change a few shortcuts, but can't get it working the way I would like.
I would like to assign:
CTRL+S = Download & Save immediately (Auto) (currently is ALT+SHIFT+I)
ALT+A = Download & Save immediately (currently is ALT+I)
I would also like to couple ALT+1 to 7 to the Download & Save immediately (Auto) priorities options.
When I try to change the keyboard shortcuts I can only select on the "import" section a few Download & Save options, but those just let me make a NZB file, not select the articles for download.
Is there a way to get this done?
Thanks for your time.

you need to customize shortcuts right click on toolbar->customize->keyboard.
it puts shorcuts in api.ini in the settings directory, you'll see the section:
[Shortcuts]
Accelerators=
make backup of the string somewhere for some case.
as a rule i don't change shorcuts here, since it would affect all users, just with auto download option there were too many alt and ctrl alternating.

Okay, please be patient with me. From your answer I get the feeling that it should be possible.
But when I use the "toolbar->customize->keyboard" way, I cannot find any segment in which I can find the descriptions for the download options, and therefor obviously cannot assign any schortcut key. The actions aren't mentioned in the customize keyboard list.
I looked at the API.INI and this just shows:
[Shortcuts]
Accelerators=DBAABEAALGAIHBAABEAABMCIDBAADEAAIDAILA... (I abbreviated the string, but continues with a long list of letters)
If I delete these and start UE, it just fills it again with the defaults.
But you'll probably understand that I haven't got a clue on how to edit that string (not sure if I would even like to try to change it in this way).
Am I missing some items in the customize keyboard list?
If it's not possible at all, that's fine with me too.

The exact way I do it is:
Right-click toolbar->Customise->Keyboard tab, select the item from the dropdown list corresponding to where it is in the menu and then the function itself in the list. Then click in the box below where it says 'Press new shortcut key'. Hold down the keys you want to assign and the box should fill with the keys you are currently pressing. You would then click 'Assign' to add the shortcut to the list. You can have several shorcuts assigned to any function.

Thanks for your reply, but that's exactly the way I try to do it. You mention "select the item from the dropdown list corresponding to where it is in the menu".
That might be it. Because the action I want to add a shortcut for isn't a menu-item (well, at least not in the top menu-bar).
The action I want to shortcut is: On an article (selection) -> right click -> advanced -> Download en Save Immmediately (Auto).
I can't find that command when I look at the Customize Keyboard list: (See image below)
I looked through all those that are displayed in the screen capture (there are a few at the top hidden) and could not find the correct action.

Well, what can I say, I obviously need to make an appointment with my optomologist, my eyes aren't functioning properly anymore.

Anyway, thanks very much! That's certainly what I meant and works perfectly.
Really sorry to take up so much of your time.
