Can't get Newsgroup List in v1.7

Am I the only one who is unable to get the Newsgroup List in v1.7? Does anyone know if this is a bug or not, or how to solve the problem?

check firewall permissions, maybe because of upgrading, then it cannot do any other winsock related operation as well.
