My apologies if this topic has already been covered.
I've been getting a lot of incomplete files lately. I am using usenetserver and easynews servers.
My question is: is there a way to group all of the incomplete files and save the attachments in a batch fashion?
I have been double clicking on each file in either the import panel or task manager panel and hitting alt + a to save the attachment for each incomplete file. I am hoping there is a quicker way to save these files, instead of one at a time.
Thanks for your assistance.
Need help saving incomplete/pending 99% files
those files are saved automatically.
relevant settings are in properties->articles->saving attachments, several months ago i changed defaults there so "delete incomplete bodies" and "delete bodies with no attachments" are checked by default (i.e. for new installs).
if you see 99% pending files, maybe you have some server disabled, in such a case usenet explorer will wait for the disabled server to be reenabled so tasks which failed on all other servers will remain there.
there is a warning about this behaviour when you disable a server.
detach server from newsgroups (expand server in the servers pane in the workspace and detach all newsgroups) instead of disabling it to prevent this.
if all servers are enabled check what is the error in the pending header properties (context menu), e.g. if server malfunctions it might be repeated timeout.
if it is something else let me know, it is all i can remember from the past cases.

first reason may be you cannot have the same headers marked for download and being saved in the same time.
if you see them in the "articles" pane in the task manager and you try to save attachments you only will see the save destination directory changed in the "save path" column, but the attachments are not saved until the download has been completed.
you can very easily see articles are marked for download by blue "V" icon in the state column.
to override this behaviour - just cancel download prior to saving (press the Esc key), then attachments will be saved.
this behaviour makes sense since usually after saving attachments bodies are deleted so you don't need to continue downloading them, then there are two options to implement it - to cancel download when you save attachments or to interpret save as changing save path as it is now, the latter options give you more choice, since accidentally you may cancel a large download and end with incompltete files.
now if you have pending articles in the "articles" pane forever check whether you have a suspended server or a server which reached download limit since the program waits until the server will become available again, so if you suspended the server intentionally just detach it from all newsgroups as well so it won't mess with the article queue.
another reason (the last i can think of) you suspended the save queue (tasks menu->suspend save queue) or it got suspended e.g. because of the full disk, then it gives message box as well.
if the save queue is suspended in the "save" pane of the task manager you'll see those tasks marked for save with the hand icon, you can unsuspend the queue from the context menu in the pane, through the toolbar icon or through the tasks menu entry.
