This really rocks for the best newsreader program.
Thanx for implementing this feature Alex, it is a pitty though that you need to pay for newzbin.
Maybe there will be a special group for this kind of stuff (it is just an option).

For now, it is still possible voor free-users to download ID-packages at NewzBin.com. Don't no whether it will be in the future.

Only drawback vor NewzBin.com is that the post isn't available until the last part has been posted. So you will need a good retention on you newsserver for the larger postings, and posters with a slow upload.

I tried it also with NP3714 and NP3715, the clipboard copy worked.

Then I tried it with a few nzb files, only one file worked for 1 time. The other 25 times not (even the that worked first).

I import the the file 10 times, but the #~import group stays empy

Any ideas what i can do to solve it?
ps the file are good because someone else tried a nzb file from me on his version of NP and it worked.

I use 7 xpat groups, 15 normal groups (but most are empty) and 8 servers
The nzb files are only 4kb to 150kb

probably you saved attachments and deleted the headers, so you can see the headers in edit menu->show deleted headers;

you reminded me, i thought maybe to treat the group in such a way that its deleted headers won't be remembered.

I have two databases, I start the first one just using "Newspro.exe" this loads the default database, and the second one using "newspro.exe data2" loading the second database. I made two shortcuts.
When I associate NZB to Newspro and doubleclick on a .NZB file the first one always opens, but instead of that I want to start Newspro, opening the second database, is there a way to do that??

you can rename the profile to 'import' but how it stands now (3715) - it should be running, first it looks among running instances for the import profile, then for the default profile; if nothing has been found it will launch the first running profile found.

maybe something better is possible, e.g. it will launch the import profile anyway if it exists in registry, the only problem then if you stop using the profile one would need to manually delete it from the registry, maybe to make it an option.

Alex: That did the trick

When testing newzbin. I used something i remembered from dloading the day before.
When i used show deleted headeres everything was there

NPro run's now like it never ran before, exploring new territory's on usenet.... (sorry, just watched a episode of Star Trek......)

Looks like you're close to a new versionrelease.
Still, the problems with the timecounter and progressionbar's haven't changed.

Some xtra info: The bar's and time are working fine when downloading with headers acquired from a Header-download or Xpat. Only when downloading from imported Headers the problem occurs. Hence my idea it has something to do with way you make the headers flow form the #-import group to the download part of the program.....

do you refer to binnews, newzbin or www.binaries.nl?

can you email me the .zml/.nzb file itself or paste binaries.nl page here as text?

it must be an error in the index file data, the arithmetics is straightforward, i've just rechecked it while writing this reply.

probably you see wrong size in the .nzb file (you cannot check .zml directly but i could check it here). for binaries.nl there is total number of lines, i just divide it by the number of parts.

Indeed the problem only seems to occur with Binaries.nl......
With a NewzBin-file everything works fine.

I notice that they show at Total number of lines......
Could it be you use the total number of lines for each segment?
(which at least would explain the time error, and give a incorrect scale for the progress-bar)

If that's the case, I don't think the problem can be solved (at least not completely) cause there might be a bigger problem if the number of lines is to small (ie 51319561 divided by 131 probably won't be correct too if the poster didn't adjust the size of his attachement to fit in a multiple of the number of Yenc-lines he uses to post) ommitting the last line(s) from each segment, if the last segment is smaller then the rest.

This is a free search machine. Just enter the thing you are looking for and klick on the found name. It opens a new page with lots of information including all the msg-id's

Just select everything on this page, copy it to clipboard and import it in newspro !!

It works great !. Now you can look for a file and if found import it in np.

It seems it's only importing the first 31 segments (www.alt.binaries.nl). In a post of more it wil show as incomplete. Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug.

Once Import has been finished I also think that exporting might be a great feature, so you will be able to generate a nbz-file from a selected number of files.

yes, export would make sense too, i'll try to add it shortly (maybe to have it ready next week) since it will improve 'the flavor' of this feature by reducing its dependency on specific sites thus becoming generic.

for 3.72 i didn't set the auto update - http://www.usenetopia.com/version_r.htm still points out to 3.71 for this reason, but if the export is present the feature will be clearly useful also for people who don't use indexing services through subscription.
