Hi Alex and all,
I've been using Newspro for quite a while now on 2 PCs. The last week or so Newspro has stopped saving attachments. The attachments download alright, but then I have to hunt them down in each group and save them manually with Alt-A. This is happening with both Newpro installations on both PCs. The only thing I can think that is different from before, is that I have subscribed to Giganews which has a long retention, and my pending queues are rather large (approaching or over 200000).
The way I usually mark items for download is with Alt-L (download & save later). Newspro remembers the save folder information after it is restarted, right?
This is very troublesome for me as I download from many groups, and then I have to open each one and filter for messages with bodies in order to find the downloads. Very tedious. Any idea why this is happening? Any configuration change in the settings perhaps?
TIA
Newspro has stopped saving completely

That's actually a very helpful suggestion and one that I didn't think of before. Thanx!
I am still puzzled about why this is happening though. I don't remember Newspro doing this before. And the strangest thing is that it started happening on both installations almost at the same time. Could it be the update to 3.81? I can't think of anything else.
The one question I need to ask though (just to be sure): when you mark articles to be saved in various folders (via Alt-L), and then you restart Newspro, the program remembers where it should save these articles, right?

Yes Alt-L remembers the folder to save to. I start newspro with windows scheduler about 1 am and it works fine saving .
For your auto save, please check that "block autosave but queue for it hasn't been switched on (tasks->autosave). This "seems to get switched on automaticaly if you close newspro while it is in the process of autosaving and occassional the switch(es) finish all tasks and exit (and shutdown windows) turn "block autosave" on.
Worth a look
