Maybe i am blind but could not find the option in UE trial. loved that option in NewsPro but looks like it's not present in UE.

Was it removed ?

Now the question is : can i just backup reg.dat to keep my server/newsgroup/options settings saved ?

Essentially, UE is a different product with a similar GUI front-end. I highly doubt that the reg.dat format will work between the two products.

There currently is not an import/export function for UE.

The way I converted over was to open the newsgroup list and using CTRL, select all of the groups (or a large subset of them) that I wanted to add, right-click, and Subscribe.

Not as easy as an import, but gets the job done easier than adding each one individually.

yes all settings are in reg.dat, it is enough to backup the file, api.* files contain all related to the interface. since ue doesn't use windows registry i had to fix some things in the third-party graphic library, there were some bugs in the library implementation.
