Multipart articles not displaying properly

When viewing the Mac binary groups, some (many) of the articles are displaying as such;

Warez Disc # 2.sitx.part100.sitx (*/50) Author Date Lines Size 48 of 50
Warez Disc # 2.sitx.part100.sitx (*/50) Author Date Lines Size 2 of 50

One shows with a half green icon, (assuming mostly complete status)
The other shows with a half red icon, (assuming mostly non-complete)

NewsPro does not do this on the exact same servers, groups and computer installation.

Neither does the Mac news reader.

Another thing, in large binary groups particularly, but also noticable overall, the messages show up multiple times like this:

Warez Disc # 2.sitx.part100.sitx (*/50) Author Date Lines Size 50 of 50 (Complete)

Disc # 2.sitx.part100.sitx (*/50) Author Date Lines Size 49 of 50
2.sitx.part100.sitx (*/50) Author Date Lines Size 49 of 50

The same series of stuff sorts differently due to the alphabetical sort, and shows up in different stages of completeness with parts of the subject name truncated as shown. This happens with entire series of a multisegment post.

I am currently using 1.0.3R, and this was also with 1.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.2 and 1.0.3 trials.

About the Icons:
Half green means the article is incomplete (like 48 of 50 present)
Half red means incomplete, and missing the first segment (like 2 of 50, missing segment 1).

Newspro doesn't differentiate beween incomplete and missing the first segment. However, when missing the first segment Newspro won't show the article at all (at least it used to).

if there is no first part newspro doesn't display the partial, you can only see parts when you disable the autopartial support. the reason is newspro framework was written well before yenc and par2 were introduced and before yenc and par2 such partials didn't make sense (you couldn't unrar them and if the first segment is missing you couldn't preview them - see below).

ue displays such partials, but also differentiates with the red color the absence of the first segment, since e.g. when mp3, jpg etc. when you see red you know you cannot preview the file since the fle header is in the first segment, so jpeg viewer/mp3 player won't be able to open the file (but it still makes sense to download it and repair with par2).
