Getting headers...

I have visited your web, and I have seen a new project: Usenet Explorer. I have been proving the program, and it seems quite better to me than NewsPro, nevertheless appears a very strange error.

I use it without problems with servers such as Octanews. But if I use telenews.teleline.es (which requieres authentification), I can recover the list of newsgroup, I can download bodies, but I can't download headers. It always appears a error message saying that the password is incorrect, whereas if I use such data with NewsPro I don't have any problem. I can get headers with other server, and then download without problems using telenews.teleline.es, but I obtain a error of authentification, if I try obtain headers from this server.

the error shouldn't be there.

check what is the value in newspro for properties->general->force authentication and whether it is the same in ue, but in any case it would point out to a bug in the server, also check it is not your firewall.

if the server allows access from the outside you may send me your login details (but if it is isp it is unlikely, also if you checked with newspro from your isp account and with ue from e.g. from a work account it would explain the difference)

there is no special code for authentication when getting headers, it is the same code everywhere and there were no complaints about that.

also check the password you entered is correct or maybe you forgot to enter it.

you described exactly the same problem with newspro 2 years ago:

http://www.netwu.com/newspro/phpBB2/vie ... ight=#1409

do you remember how you resolved it then because you didn't answer then but you don't have the problem now.

Thanks, solved problem ;-)

Dear Alex...

Thank you for your support...
I proved:

"Check what is the value in NewsPro for Properties->General->Force authentication and whether it is the same in ue..."

In NewsPro, it was off, while in Usenet Explorer it was on. Now it work correctly.
