Reclaim purged headers

How do headers get purged in UE? Is it different than NewsPro? (I am using compact binary groups).

In NP, I use the Purge Deleted Headers command in the Edit menu. This doesn't exist in UE. Also, NP automatically purges headers when opening a newsgroup or when updating headers. How is it done in UE?

Also, in NP in the newsgroups properties there is a Purge Del Hdrs option. In UE this doesn't exist. Instead, UE has "Reclaim purged headers". What does this mean? Is it exactly the same thing?

The change in terminology seems to have gotten the best of me here

(Also my english s*cks, but that's a different topic for a different day) :)

in ue purging and deleting headers are separate, but in ue advanced submenu there is the option 'purge deleted headers' which works in the same way as in newspro.

reclaim purged headers means when you get new headers or rescan headers previously purged headers will enter the database.

but i think it is noted in ue.txt that purging isn't consistently implemented for compact binary newsgroup type (more exactly for partial messages for the newsgroups of the type) since it wouldn't help to reduce memory consumption (but it works for all other - memory expensive - destination types). if you use mostly compact binary groups just delete headers instead of purging them.
