Thanx Alex for the search feature. This makes XPAT searches obsolete because it is much slower. It is unbelievable how fast I find the files I am looking for. This feature putts UE not ahead of the competition but a galaxy away from the rest.
I don't even have to use nzb files anymore.
UE is worth every penny.

at least with the software there is no problem, with running it i'll be still thinking about options (since i don't want it to be commercial), we could somehow try to estimate the number of users of large usenet providers, maybe if the number is sufficient we could exploit that as a ground to request a provider to run the server (for all ue users since it doesn't take much resources or bandwidth), because in the end they are about service and about users. i can run it myself as well, the upload bandwidth will be slower (maybe doesn't matter since an average request can be served quite fast anyway). i'm still puzzled why there is no something like an effective global xpat command, i think it can be called ultra-conservatism on the part of usenet providers, protocols shouldn't be taken as something untouchable, but should serve user interests.

The feature totally rocks. I hope that some Usenet Provider will jump on it. Maybe talk to the big ones. I myself use Newshosting, there is a guy called Jason that is very responsive for all kinds of technical issuses.
Maybe you can work out a deal with them, so they can offer UE.
