Registration Key Lost

Hello,

A couple of weeks ago one of my system HDD's had a mayor crash. I had 2 Maxtor DiamondMax 9 (200 GB) in stripped config. Now one of these damn disks had an error and this resulted in losing all of my data. I didn't knew it becomes pretty darn dramatic if one disk fails in this kind of configuration and making no backup doesn't help... but would you expect a HDD drive to crash after 2,5 months?

I've lost a lot of programs, but they can be replaced. Now that's a different story if you lose your digital photo-album, email-accounts or any other unique kind of data, like registration codes or keys... so it is with my Usenet Explorer Registration Key. :(

I thought i've lost it all, but on one of my older systems still has a working copy. I'd totally forgot about ever installing it on that system, but i did. I even found a lot of my old login codes for a bunch of forum-sites and email-accounts.

I was wondering if somehow there's a possibility to get the registration key of Usenet Explorer. I've looked in the [About]-menu, but no dice. I remembered, that you could see the reg-key in Newspro via the [About]-menu, but correct me if i'm wrong.

I've searched the register of my Windows XP system and i thought i had found it. Downloading v1.16 and trying to install it with this "found" number resulted in faillure.

I've written a couple of emails to date through the website, but i haven't had the pleasure to recieve any response about my problem. I've even send some personal information and the last couple of creditcard-digits to make identification easier and making this a genuine plea for help and not a smart-ass fake plea trying to get off cheap!

Now reaching this forum, i'm hoping there's someone that could point me in the right direction finding this key or destroying my hopes ever finding it on my old system.

Thanks in advanced

the last one (i compared ip addresses with the forum post) didn't contain any identifiable information, i don't see other emails.

you can use also a forum private message to contact me (it is faster), but all messages through the contact form do get here too, they are just on another computer along with other emails.
