A strage thing happened:
I am tying to download (via a paid newsserver) a file which was posted 12 days ago.
With UE the file won't download, but with NP it does.
I am using the same nzb file in both pograms.
Is it in my UE settings or is it a bug in UE? Anyone any idea?

unless you downloaded the same headers in the usual way there should be no difference.

what error do you get? in ue the error is displayed in the error pane "?" to the right of the "articles" pane.

if the error is "no such article" check you entered the same servers.

if the error is something like "connection refused" or "dns error" check that the access to the server is not blocked by firewall.

also with ue you may try to get the same file through the search service (should be no issue though if you used the same nzb file in newspro and ue and it worked once)

retention is on the server side, maybe try to download the same file with newspro again, if it fails the files have just expired on the server.

I didn't check the Msg_id direct box in UE, seems to be the trick.

But it still puzzles me. With recent posts I do not have had any troubles with the box unchecked (??)
Btw, I used a nzb from both UE an form a nzb site w/o any difference in results.
