Feature Request (nzb folder in auto mode)

Been thinking....... (Oh boy, here comes trouble)

How about a check box setting for making all request automagicly "Auto" (make "auto" folder creation a default or user selectable sticky setting)

So instead of me going to the menu's and selecting Advanced>Download & Save with priority (Auto) > low (or whatever)

All I would have to do is select download or a download priority setting

Also been thinking about making the "Suspend article tasks for later download” a sticky option... Would that be possible?

I would love to see both of these settings implemented as an option in the user settings, a customizable item. 8)

Ok, now we are here, I've got a headache to (because of the thinking...)

Now we've got auto-folders there's a whole new range of possibilitys.

How about:

- When ready downloading items to a auto-folder, checking them with par2?
- If above finished succesfully, unrarring them to autofolder?
- If above did not finish succesfully, how about looking for extra blocks at the group used to download them from?

I know this is NOT a small request, so I don't make it a request at all.
Just something to get a headache over.

More people in favour?

oh yeah that's what I'm talking about!

Or at least a function that'd autocreate folders when nzb files are imported via the importfolder... the autofolder is nice, but it might get messy in that one if you download over a couple of days without sorting everything. ^^

there is an option properties->general, import/search, auto - folder out of nzb name, for import folder it should create folder with nzb name and as i remember the option is checked by default. does it work?

Well no and yes.

If I put an nzb file into the Import folder, it automatically selects the files for downloading. It saves them in the autosave folder. However, it doesn't create a new folder with the nzb name.

However, if I use the Import only function, it won't select the headers but after I choose Download & Save and it asks me where to save them I'm able to click on "New Folder" and it creates a Folder with the nzb's name.

Hope that helped! :)

i'll check it tomorrow and clarify here further whether it is the case, if it doesn't create folder when the "auto" option in the search/import is checked it wasn't the intention (very fast to fix then though).

what i found out the "auto" check box in properties->general->search/import works as expected.

but i also discovered remnants of behaviour from pre "auto" versions, if in properties->newsgroups->import the save directory is "default" it didn't save since back then the topmost "default" entry wasn't fixed, i corrected that for the next release so it will now will take the "default" entry save directory instead. in fact the behaviour is stated in UE.txt in the import folder section but now it is not relevant any longer (so I will update help notes too).

so, since it saves in your case, only ensure the "auto" check box is checked, i verified it is default (thus you unchecked it yourself).
