Download problems from search/import

I'm stll occassionaly having a problem of files not downloading from the Search/import feature. When I select the list of headers from the Search and select download and save automatically, sometimes only part of the files will download and save, others seem to download but not save. If I then select the headers in the import window and select download and save automatically the files will then save. It is not a big deal, but when I set up to download overnight and get back to computer in the mornng and only 20 files saved from a list of 100, it gets a bit agrivating. They do seem to download. At least have the green box attached in the list, but just do not save for some reason.

Everything else seems to be working fine for me.

you should see the save path in the articles download queue.
if it is there the files won't avoid the save queue.
if there is a file exception (if there were a bug in the program code the whole program would crash, but e.g. read/write disk errors are not program bug so the program execution should be allowed to continue) the save queue will be paused (toolbar button "pause save queue" will be in the pressed state and the remaining files will be listed in the save task manager pane). it would also report the save error in the small message box.

if those are incompletes or files with errors you may adjust settings in properties->articles->saving attachments in certain degree.

so just check the articles pane of the task manager before you leave the program, maybe you did something which made the path disappear (e.g. cancel save).

from where you mark for download doesn't matter, as long as the article is in the task manager "articles" pane it is all the same. if you don't see the save path column shown drag the mouse cursor on header control column divider when you see the <-||-> shaped cursor.

Alex, Thanks.
The save path is there and viable and there is plentyof disc space.

I'll check the other stuff the next time it happens. Didn't expect that it was a program bug, but probably something I'm doing wrong. Just cannot figure out what it is. Only happens maybe one out of 10 or more times. And haven't had any program crashes other than a lockup when server path gets blocked or something like that.

If they were incompletes or errors in the files they shouldn't get the green icon, is that right?

you should see those files in the "downloads" pane.

if you save at specific path for this batch (or if not try to do that), next time you see it invoke "save attachments" from the "downloads" task manager pane.

the question is does it show the same path as it was in the batch in the directory prompt (given the save directory is still there)?

to emulate what happens you can also download bodies first and then to invoke "save" one by one (using "auto" download&save or set it in properties->newsgroups->save, ask so it won't ask for directory every time).

because what happens - as soon as article has all part bodies it is placed in the save queue so what we have one by one with usually only a single article in the save queue.

did it happen to random files or it stopped saving at some point but then when you invoked download&save within the same session it saved all of the attachments?
