Hi, Alex
Please can you give us the option of coping selected headers to the import folder for future downloading.
It would be nice to have a place to collect all your downloads, from searches(import) as well as groups. You can later choose to download it or purge it. Maybe also flag those that have been copied to the import folder.
Thanks for a fantastic program Alex!
Feature Request: Copy Headers from groups to import folder
Re: Feature Request: Copy Headers from groups to import fold
Right-click->Advanced->Export headers and save in UE's Import directory. UE will pick up the NZB and appear in the Import group.Chan22kV wrote:Please can you give us the option of coping selected headers to the import folder for future downloading.
I agree it would be nice to be able to collect headers in one place that you don't want to download right now but might want to check first. The workaround could be to flag the headers and then open Global View and review them there with the use of the Quick Filter bar. To flag: right-click->Mark->Flagged.
you also can use the search service to import headers where you want.
in the beginning i was thinking about adding the "archive" type of group probably shared with the import type.
for most users it seems to be important just to download bodies and save attachments so headers are pretty transient.
you can also use global view, like edit menu->pending (if you mark the headers for download later they will persist even if the newsgroup has been unloaded). you can also flag them and use global view (but the newsgroup must be loaded then unless above).

Using global view, and flagged headers is ok, but anly works if the newsgroup folder is open, so you have to open all of them to find your potential downloads.
In South Africa, we are hard capped on international bandwith, so searches are not always possible.
Saving the headers, in UE's import directory is a very nice option, and it would be nice if we can get a context menu item to do it automatically.
An "archive" type group, shared with the import folder would be the best option to save potential downloads, from different sources.
