Occasionally I get my wires crossed and press [CONT][DEL] instead of [CONT][D] to download files. When I do this, I wind up resetting the group and getting all those headers again to get the ones I inadvertently deleted. Would be great if there was an option to turn on a confirmation when pressing [CONT][DEL]

Could be I'm the only one who ever makes this mistake

d and del are quite different keys.

is it not a good idea to get the same files through the search service or you also cannot remember then what you were going to mark download?

i'm vary about adding options, we have already more options than in newspro and we started with less a year ago, who is going to describe them all in detail?

but also did it happen only few times? just probably after few such mistakes they will be subconciously avoided?

Probably because I do a whole lot more CONT-DEL'ing than CONT-D'ing, it's an easy mistake to make occasionally.

While it doesn't happen all that often, it's time consuming when it does, the worst was when it happened in alt.binaries.multimedia

It's happened enough for me to submit the feature request for a confirmation prompt, but, UE will remain my newsreader of choice regardless
