Backing Up UE

I am reformatting my HDD tonight, and I would like it if I could keep all settings, headers , and subsrcibed groups.
Can I accomplish this by simply backing uo the database?
If not, how can I?

I'm sure you can just back up the whole UE folder as UE is self contained. You can then reinstall UE and point it back at your backed up folder.

Thats what i thought, but the folder is only 4GB and i thought i had a lot more GB's of headers, maybe im wrong, thx

headers don't take much, on the indexing servers all headers in 4K+ groups take less than 6GB.

so should be even less than 4GB, maybe because of article bodies (try edit menu->bodies, maybe you see some old article bodies there to delete).
