Downloading newsgroup headers and bodies?

When using the right click to open a newsgroup for new headers, I get a popup that is labeled 'import headers' and it wants me to give it(?) a file name.

To what am I giving a file name?

(Gawd! There is *nothing* in this program that is in the slightest way intuitive.)

You are most likely opening an Import group. You need to use subscribed groups to get headers. It may be the case that when you added groups you selected 'Import' in the dialogue when in most cases (large binary groups) you just need 'compact binary'. Unfortunately, due to the stucture of newsgroups in UE, you would need to re-add these groups again - you cannot convert them.

You can distinguish an Import group by the book icon with an hourglass in the left corner.
