When I import headers after making a search, they disappear unless I actually mark them for download. This happens even if I "Save All" each time I import a group of headers. The next time I open UE, all the headers that weren't marked for download are gone.
Is there a reason for this? I would like to be able to do a search, Import some headers, and then have them be there the next time I start the program.

Import group - disappearing headers
you need to adjust (increase) retention in properties->newsgroups.
if no retention headers would be accumulated indefinitely and the import group eventually will be slow to load, so i added retention for import groups a long time ago, should be somewhere in release history.
so if you import headers into import group with retention higher than is defined for the import group in question in properties->newsgroups - on next newsgroup opening they will just expire like in usual newsgroups unless flagged, having body or marked for download.
