When I search something, if I select a few of the resulting headers and import them, it opens my Import folder and I can see all the headers there. Now, I unload the Import folder and reload it. The header are gone. They were not saved.

I don't always have time to download them or I overextended my quota on a server, so I need them to be saved for later and it is really a drag to have to remember the exact search I did.

Import folder has retention setting as any other group.

Just adjust it, it is in properties->newsgroups for the import group to anything you want, if you set it to natural be sure to purge headers manually sometimes, you can just set it somewhat more than your server retention so it will keep everything you are able to download from the server.

The issue with natural retention is the headers will be deleted but won't be purged through retention setting, thus the amount of headers on newsgroup load will constantly grow, eventually you would feel it.

If you always mark for download what you import it is not a problem since headers marked for download, with bodies or flagged are not subject to retention.
