Hello,
I have subcribed to Usenetserver.com. They offer SSL and non SSL.
I would like to add those 2 servers into Usenet Exporer. I must be doing something wrong. When I add the second server and start downlaoding, I see that from both servers are beeing downloaded.
Would someone give me please a hint in "easy english explanation" how I can make those two work for me? Not at one ofcourse

Well it seems like a normal behavior when you add a copy of an existing sever.
Unless for testing or having two or more lines to the internet I think there is not much use to keep identical servers.
Now I believe you want to test the SSL or non-SSL feature of your usenetserver.com server.
In that case you might wanna try to deactivate one or the other using the right-click (Advanced->Enable/Disable Servers) in the server workspace window.

if you use only SSL or non-SSL at any given time (say only when SSL doesn't work you want to use non-SSL) and you download headers from newsgroups better you use a single server.

to switch the server in the workspace servers pane right click the server then advanced->rename

in the UNS case for secure you need to enter

secure.usenetserver.com:8080 and check SSL

for non-secure

news.usenetserver.com:119 and uncheck SSL

so you don't need to redownload headers when switching servers.

if you want to use both servers at the same time just enter them both, you may disable downloading headers from one of them if you like in properties->servers->get headers.

if you want to enter them both but use only one of them instead of disabling server better detach groups from the unused server.

in UE you could also use both even if the server name would be the same.
