Hi,
I've got a wiiidescreen monitor and being able to have the the article information on the right side of the list would be a major space saver!
The list will be longer and the now unused white space will be usefullyfilled.
I guess this is a feature request ?
I'm in trial right now and having this option will definitely make me buy Usenet Explorer.

what is the monitor pixel resolution? more than 1440x900?
with 1440 (i think it is 19"W) it seems there is still not enough space to place the article view to the right with workspace to the left, but if wider maybe it would make sense.

I've got a 1920x1200 monitor (24" widescreen)
And I don't show the Newsgroups/Message-id/lines columns

yes it is 33% wider then.
i'll check it, it is very old code, microsoft mfc split view, but split can be set any.
maybe to upgrade as well to higher one, buying a monitor is a pain, they don't like when i start checking it for bad pixels and opening another box if i find one, as to programming it doesn't matter what is the monitor size, whatever it would be - it is like looking at the code through huge binoculars

Aha! Ok, sounds promising!
I'm a (web) programmer too and adjust my font so I don't get square eyes. Actually I've got 2 24" monitors; one for the code and one for my browser.
If you want a new monitor I can recommend the 24" Iiyama B2403WS-1... It's € 389,- over here; pretty good price for what you get
BTW; I've just bought UE ^_^

i've added you to the next release preview group, usually things appear there earlier, i need to cool off from the last one first.

Cool, thanks.
You mean the last update ? What made you hot about it then ?

It would be even cooler if the article information frame would be draggable like the task manager...
Just an idea

if work takes too long non-stop i need few days to forget about it or to wait until it stops kicking
now the split view is implemented as mfc split view which is not draggable, if i change/upgrade the third party interface library i may try to use something different, with mfc i think it is set during view creation but it can be set horizontal or vertical at the time, or maybe it is dynamic or both, i don't remember exactly, if there is dynamic variety i think i'm using static.

btw i forgot, you reminded me with the draggable suggestion.
if you dock the task manager to the right, the leftmost pane of the task manager is the article view of the focused entry of the current newsgroup view, i'm not sure the space is wide enough for other panes though.
